چکیده
1973年 の学校保健法施行規則の改正により,蛋 白尿 と血尿の発見を目的 とした集団検尿が小 ・中 学校で行われるようにな り,腎 尿路疾患を有する 患児の早期発見が可能 になった.こ れらの集団検 尿の利点 としては疾患の早期発見,そ れらによる 費用効率の高さなどが指摘されている.こ れらに 加え検査項目を増やすことで多項 目の検査を同時 に行 うことがで きる点も利点 としてあげられる. 腎尿路疾患ばか りではな く,尿 中の糖 を検査する ことで糖尿病のスクリーニングができ,1992年 か ら小 ・中学生の定期健康診断に尿糖の検査 も含ま れることになった. 現在施行されている尿中の蛋白と潜血 を検査す る検尿方式では,尿 路感染症の一部の症例 は発見 することができるが,多 くの症例は見落 とされる。 しかし,尿 路感染症,特 に慢性腎孟腎炎の患者が 血液透析に移行する頻度 は決して低い ものではな く,こ れらの疾患の早期発見は学校検尿の次の課 題 として考えられている.
